Poly Tech Industrial Services used a combination of different techniques such as self levelling screed, high build paint coat and epoxy line marking.

Clipsal, an industry leader in electrical accessories, data communications, industrial and home electrics employing over 1,500 people Australia wide had outgrown their existing premises at Brompton. The $50m move to consolidate their factory at Gepps Cross was an ideal opportunity for Poly-Tech to design a flooring system around their manufacturing needs.

As a staged project part of the work to be completed had to be carried out without any closure to the manufacturing works or disruption to the workforce. As this required strategic planning, Poly-Tech’s solution was dustless diamond grinding.

In consultation with the client, Poly-Tech was assisted with the design specifications for the various production, roadways and walk way areas. Poly-Tech met all the project requirements and kept within the restraints of a tight budget.

The 100% solids epoxy flooring installed by Poly-Tech included a roller applied system to areas where there was low traffic volume and a self levelling system in those areas requiring greater resistance to traffic and abrasion.

To meet the stringent occupational health and safety regulations of today and to ensure the client would have no need to revisit their flooring requirements for many years, the entire project was complemented by epoxy line marking of areas for safety zones, roadways and production areas.
